Enough Already – Stop the Drama.
Hey guys. Sorry about the confusion about skin lights, I've had it in my kit for a while. Thank you to those who love Kim's look. For the record, I did use all Revlon products. I get a lot of products from companies and when I create a look, I try to keep it within one brand of make-up as I know I will be doing press and will want to share what I did with everyone.Please refrain from calling me a liar about what make-up products I'm using. This is a positive place for you guys to come see what I do and what I have to share. I don't give a shit what anyone thinks of what I'm doing or how I'm doing it. This is my blog for me to share my work. Sometimes I'll explain in detail, and sometimes you'll have to get off your computer and go figure it out for yourselves. I am an artist. I'm not here to hold your hand for you to put your mascara on.
If you want your questions answered, there are ways of asking professionals for their advice. I will not tolerate accusations made against me and my work. I have a lot of integrity in my work and I find it insulting when my integrity is questioned - whether it's the products I used or how much I've retouched my images.
I want to inspire people, not teach people step-by-step on how to do make-up. That's not what this blog is for. Perhaps in the future I will create a forum that will give more in-depth instruction in make-up and beauty, but for right now this is my forum of expressing myself the way I would like.
Excuse me for being a little harsh, but I have never worked with any celebrity like I have with the Kardashians where I have gotten so much negativity. It will not be posted on this blog. The Kardashians are my friends, my family, and they are helping me live my dream. So please, keep your accusations and negativity to yourselves or go post it on someone else's blog.

I think it is despicable that people can use a positive forum to create such hate and negativity.
The Kardashians seems to attract so much hatred but i think it is because they are all so beautiful and people are just so incredibly jealous of them.
I for one respect your work, your style and your skills Troy. I think it is great that you take the time to update this blog and share the amount of information that you do with us.
Keep doing what you are doing and ignore that haters. Just know that you do have people like myself who look up to you and admire your work. You are an insipiration and always will be.

Finally someone said it! I love that you let people know that you are not blogging to hold people’s hands along the waay. i work for a large makeup company and sometimes i just want to tell people that “its just makeup, not surgery! if you don’t like it wash it off! try something new ..its not set in stone! ” the kardashians just get hated on because they are beautiful…. thats it. thanks for being honest! i love it!
they are just haters! you have amazing skills! you can make any name brand work because you have talent and if people can’t do it like you do guess what your a professional hello. Were even lucky that have made a blog sharing your wonderful work and telling us the products you used some make up artists aren’t as nice so people stop hating!! .

Hi Troy, wow I can tell you got very upset. I questioned you on Kim’s make up because I didn’t think you had used Revlon on her. It looked too good! I didn’t mean to offend you in any way, and honestly I didn’t think you would take it in a negative way either. Many times, magazines and other make up artists understand that many people can’t afford to buy expensive make up products so they show the public how to get a certain look by referring them to more economic-friendly products and I thought you were doing the same. I know Kim is a fan of the Armani foundation and I thought maybe you had used other more upscale make up on her.
Just for the record, I never dissed the Kardashian’s. I absoultely love them and would never say anything mean about them.
So again, sorry for contributing in getting you so mad! I am a fan of yours and admire your work. From now on, whenever you list the products you used to achieve a look, I will believe you and no longer question you.

It has been a tough week both Personally and professionally,and I got really upset with your comment. As for the issue of the products I use. Kim Kardashian used a lot of MAC with another one of her make up artists, and NARS with another. I use a lot of different brands with Kim. I sometimes use the Armani or Revlon Colorstay foundations and sometimes I just mix a lil Bourjois concealer and moisturizer together with a touch of Chanel shimmer.
I get sooo much product, it’s crazy and I want to share it all and how I used it. Yes I use high end lines, but I also use drug store brands as well. It’s all paint to me!
Your comment about Revlon and if I really used it,was just the icing on the cake after the week I had. I worked with Revlon in the past with Halle Berry and one year I designed a collection for each actress nominated for the Academy Awards, Oscar bag. I love a lot of Revlon’s products and still use them today. I read that someone had a reaction to one of their products. If you ever get a rash or any kind of reaction, Stop using it. I had a client allergic to Chanel, because of the fragrance they put in most of their products.
The negativity I’ve read over the last few weeks, Man, I never knew people could be so ignorantly hateful. I shot Khloe Kardashian for PETA and was be accused of reshaping her body,UNTRUE! Really I promise,and no I’m not posting before and afters. I don’t do that with any of my work.
Then when I shoot Kim, I get a lot of really amazing and positive messages, but the ones that degrade and insult my work, Kim and the Kardashians are really unfair. Makes me so mad because I love them so much. I couldn’t be as inspired by Kim if she was everything people say about her.
I wish I could share the kind of women they really are with you. I have been doing this for a LONG time and have worked with many top Hollywood beauties, but none of them are as grateful,warm,fair,easy going as Kim and her sisters. She is a devoted sister,friend and to read on her own blog the nasty things people say,made me sick. She’s also so strong to allow them to even be posted. I will not post that sh– on my blog. I am not an artist who’s doing this for a chance to be famous or even for the money. Although! I am so grateful to have the recognition and abundance I achieve. I could not do this for those reasons. I need to love what I’m doing. To face the scrutiny of,”you’re only as good as your last booking”
That’s what being a freelance make up artist is about and it’s what you are designed to believe in this business. I am an artist not a robot. I do great work sometimes and sometimes I think, I really sucked. That’s why I don’t see myself as anyone’s teacher. I do my thing, good or bad and hope to get a chance to do it again even better. That’s what I want to convey most of all. Just create,play and wash it off and do it again..

Well Troy, when you’re working with Kim you’re subject to negativity… she’s just created a bad rep for herself.
Bad Rep? If you agree? Then there’s a ton of other blogs with followers that will never let her forget it. But what Kim Kardashian has created with me is AMAZING! And that’s all I really care about.
